ok guys...i did something stupid...i took a turn too fast, slipped off the road, drifted and hit 3 baby palm trees (luckily i didn't hit the big ones or the steel street signs). i got some 3 really bad scrated spots...and a medium dent right behind on the gas tank panel (right behind, not on it)
i'm going to a body shop as soon as possible. just out of curiosity...how much do you think it would cost to get the dent out and touch up the damaged paint on the bumper??
geez i'm an idiot...i've only had it for a week :(

Yeah, this is why my rule is "drive conservatively unless there's someone to race against". Driving fast otherwise is a waste of gas and doesn't prove anything. Especially on rain or snow. Which you didn't seem to be in, meaning you must have been turning shit fast.
Looks like you need a new rear fender (you can take the dent out, but it doesnt look as nice anymore). If you dont have the money, keep the old one, but dont expect a smooth surface anymore. Like a crushed can that was popped out again.
Paint jobs range in price. You get what you pay for usually, so keep that in mind.

actually...its not even the bumper or fender, its part of the body.
the paint is just touch-up really
i wonder...i'm still under 30 day warranty with carmax...i doubt they'll fix body damage tho

P.S. that isn't a picture of my car exactly...i just changed the color to match mine

It's definitely not going to look the same any more. Depending on whether it is a dent(usually caused by someone else's door) or a scratch(no, not the paint, the metal, like when someone's side swipes your door with the corner of their metal bumper)
Scratches cannot be taken out by a dent master. If it is bumped in enough, they might have to cut out that quarter panel out and push it out, then melt it back
If it's a minor one, then they'll have to poke a hole, pull it, then bondo it back, sand, repaint and blend with the rest of the body.

wonderful...
its not a bad dent...and it looks like it'll pop out very nicely...especially since you can probably access it from inside the trunk...
and since i didn't hit anything really hard...they were pathetic little baby palm trees (although one apparently got a bite of my panel), it isn't scratched per se...its just that the paint got "pulled" off...in fact...on the front bumper...it exposed previous paint in some areas...in others...it got to the metal...but didn't scratch it...it looks like i may even be able to touch some of it up with model paint (god i'm such a cheap a$$, not that i have a choice)
the only thing that really gets to me is that dent...it f***s up the sexy curves :-( ... you know what tho... my car is still very very sexy
in fact, i actually went to the gas station, filled her up, and spent a quarter tank just enjoying her in 3am traffic... god WeeeeeeeeeeTec sounds beautiful ... i didn't do any turns though..
for the first time ever...i was scared of driving. first time back in, it stalled on me twice cuz i was afraid to hit the gas :( that was the first time i hit ANYTHING...i got home and i went from pissed to frustrated to overwhelmed to mellow to outright depressed :banghead: i'm not fat by any standards, but on my lil reconciliation trip i went to dunkin donuts, bought a dozen boston cremes, and i've had 4 already

believe it or f***ing not...i couldn't sleep. my bro woke up early as hell too...
i got curious, opened my trunk, and discovered the dent is right behind the jack (in the trunk), we took out the jack, cut the upholstery in the little compartment (which is hidden by a door AND the jack anyways), and started banging at it from inside with the butt of a hammer, and got 90% of the dent out, which is good enough for me...
$h!t...just saved like $200!!!!!! now a lil touchup paint, and it'll be like those palm trees never existed! :D
whew...now i can sleep happy
