'83 Jaguar XJ6 headlights in an '85 cougar

hey im new to these forums and im wondering if you can help me with a jag related problem im having. I have a customized '85 cougar which has an 83 jag xj6 grille and soon hopefully some matching lights. im wondering if the headlights from the xj6 will re-wire properly into my cougars setup or if it will not work at all?? any help is appreciated.
