on my 88 pioneer 2wd auto the motor mounts have been replaced but the install may not be correct.unsure if i could do the job i paid a "specialist"
the mounts(anchor is the brand) have a threaded stud which accepts a nut and an open hole for a bolt. on my jeep; on the pass side(left mount) there in a bolt going up with a nut attached visible while looking down from the front of the bay and the threaded stud going downward with a nut attached only visible from below the jeep...on the drivers side both the threaded stud and the bolt face down down. stranger is the fact that from underneath the jeep looking up you see the outside(closet to fender)bolt has no nut. the tech who did the work says the bolt threads through the bracket. even stranger(to me 0 is the lack of threads toward the bottom end of the bolt. (was the bolt trashed? overtorqued and the nut popped off? is there supposed to be no nut there?
my parts cd shows that there should be a 2 nuts for the drivers side one up one down but the bolts arent depicted as to install up or down.
is the drivers side mount supposed to be... threaded stud down held by nut and the other bolt top down(closest to fender) without a nut held secure by threads in the bracket to which the mount attaches?
tia for input..i have clear pics of the drivers side mount from underneath if that helps.
