Hey people,
I have a 2000 lude with bent valves. I'm getting them fixed so I figured I'd get some headwork done while the head is off. I searched and didn't find much so if anyone has some opinions on what I should do that'd be great. Thanks a lot.

How much would that cost? Is a ported and polished head worth it?

Porting & polishing the head is one of the best mods, IMO. There is so much you could do to a head, depending on how much $$$ your willing ot spend. With the p/p you should get a 3 angle valve job, cams, springs, retainers, and possibly the head milled for increased compression. Also a p/p throttle body & intake manifold is a good idea. It all depends on your budget . . . .some good head work will cost roughly $500.

http://www.mmrusa.com/gudehead.htm - don't know if there is one for a 2000 but its worth checking out.

1200 for parts and labor? That seems crazy. They told me at least 500 just to p/p the head, we're talking about just the headwork. Not taking it out or putting it back in. They said if we were starting from scratch and the engine was all together it'd be like 1500 just to p/p the head. I don't know. I think I'm just going to get a vafc and some springs. Thank you all.
