Need engine for my Lumina Euro. 3.1 or 3.4?

I need an engine for my 1992 Lumina Euro. It came with the 3.1L engine but I've been thinking about putting in the 3.4L that came in the Z34s. What type of adjustments, if any, would I have to make to get a 3.4 to fit into my car? Also, would there be anything transmission wise that I would need to be concerned with by putting in the 3.4 and the transmission is used to the 3.1? From what I was told, the 3.4 has the same bolt pattern as the 3.1?

Also, in case you all recommend that I stay with the 3.1, do any of you know of a website that I can find an engine for my Lumina? I've been looking all over (including Ebay) and I've found a 3.4 but I want to be sure that I know what I would need to do to put the 3.4 in my car.

I need some info ASAP. My car has been sitting up for about 2 months now and it's driving me crazy!! I need my car!!!

You'd need the ECM and wiring for the DOHC, all mounting hardware, but I'm not certain about the trans. (It will bolt up and should work) I think all the DOHC engines had the 4T60E from the factory. What's your trans, 4T60 (non-e) I'm assuming?

A word of advice about the DOHC, make sure you change the timing belt often! Every 50k miles isn't a bad idea. Also, there's a pesky little O ring in a plug in the back of the block, if it's leaking, the heads have to come off to fix it properly. Alternators are a major pain to change with the engine in the car, so if you question the alt that comes with the engine (if any?) go get a good lifetime warranty unit for it. :)

I have a compressor, alternator, and starter that are new on my 3.1. Can I use those on the 3.4 or will I need something stronger?

They should all work..but the alternator may be different. It's not mounted like it is on the 3.1s. It's on the BOTTOM of the engine on the 3.4s. Also...it's a good idea to go with the 4T60E transmission...since the 3.4's ECU (ECM as he put it) is made for the 4T60E.
