would a 92-96 prelude with vtec be a good first car? i know that the vtec equipped models only come with 5 speed and i kind of know how to drive a standard shift car, but i dont know if it would be wiser to get an auto and increase my driving skills and then get a car with a manual or what....anyone have any advice??thanks

You don't kind of know how to drive a stick shift, you either do or you don't. I think if you're even considering getting an auto then you should get one, auto drivers shouldent ever consider driving anything performance related.

Learn how to drive a 5 speed, and then buy one!!! If you buy an Auto, you will never forgive yourself. 5 spds are too much fun to go without.

I think you should buy the car now and then learn how to drive a 5 speed because. If you have a basic idea of driving a stick it should not be so hard. also if you learn on a different car the performance car that you do buy would be harder to get learn because of the different type of clutch. Its your choice.
