Shaved Trunk

CAN ANYONE HELP ME OUT? IM WANTING TO SHAVE MY TRUNK TO GET IT TO LOOK FLAT, NO MORE LICENSCE PLATE INDENTION, SO THAT I CAN PUT MY LICENSES PLATE ON THE BUMPER. DO I NEED TO BUY A NEW TRUNK OR CAN I USE THE ONE I HAVE AND WORK WITH IT. IF I CAN USE THE ONE I HAVE HOW DO I DO THE ABOVE MENTIONED.
