I need some help lining up the Crank and Camshaft sprockets on this 1.8 L engine.
The upper camshaft pulley has a some spokes and one of the spokes contains the word "Up" stamped on it. The crankshaft gear has a countersinked punch on it. Which direction should both marks be aligned when I place the timing belt back on it.
Apparently there are some marks on the timing belt covers but and I'm not sure how all marks should be aligned.
I also have the rocker arm cover removed and can see when the valves are all closed, intakes open, and/or exhaust valves opened when I rotate the camshaft pulley. I can tell when the number one cylinder is also at TDC as well. Is there a picture/diagram/instructions or advice that someone has that can assist me? :banghead:
