Struts and coilovers...

A while ago, I bought a set of coilocers off ebay, they arent shitty no-namers but they arent the best. They have a maximum drop of 4 inches but I plann on riding them at about a 2 inch drop. Anyways, Im looking for a good set of struts to put them on but need help. I want to stay kind of inexpensive but not bare minimum. I can get a set of KYB GR-2's for $160, a set of Tokico HP's for $245 or a set of KYB AGX's for $325. I was thinking about the HP's but didnt know if they would be a good choice for my coilovers. I need some input but I dont know if I can afford the AGX's. Would the GR-2's or HP's be good choices? Thanks.

sounds good to me but remember you get what you pay for when it comes to racing parts.

So, the GR-2's and the HP's will both be okay with the drop from my coilovers? I'd like to only spend the $160 and get the GR-2's but thats hella cheap and im afraid they will be shitty. Anymore suggestions?

dude whith those the more expensive the better qual, it's all in how much you willing to spend and how well you want your car to perform.

sell the coilover sleeves and get a true coilover set or get some nice springs
If you want to use those things you have
Do not use AGX's with sleeves - KYB does not recommend this & will void all warranty's if any replacement is needed.
Your best option with those springs is Tokicos Illuminas or Koni yellows

GR-2's arent really for lowered cars
Go with the HP's before the GR-2's

Yes you definately get what you pay for with suspension parts. This mostly applies to springs, shocks, & true coilovers.

Edit - There i deleted JUNK for you. I am aware of what sleeves are about . . .

get the AGX or the yellows or the illuminas... HP and GR2 arent at all for coilovers.. the GR2 is a stock valved repalcement, and the tokico is a 10 percent stiffer shock that is valved for stock springs but to have a little more control...

:cwm27: :cwm27: Im just try to save you $$$$ down the road. If you dont have a lot of money, save for a couple months or check ebay & see what you can find. I dont recommend buying used shocks, springs, or coilovers.

I completely agree. All the prices Ive listed are brand new parts. The coilovers are also new. And sorry about me flipping out earlier. It was like 6 in the morning and I had been working all night and just wanted to go to bed.

I'd go w/Tokico HP shocks, sell your bullshyt coilovers, and buy some Eibach or Tokico Springs, your car would ride a lot nicer w/them, and it would handle really well
