I am assuming the under hood light is supposed to come on whenever the hood is raised, but not sure what triggers it. There is currently no power getting to the light, and not sure where to check.
We have some kind of power drain going on, and are trying to figure it out. Cannot find ANYTHING online about the under hood light.
We do have a manual coming soon, but not sure if it will have any info on this. Can anybody help?

Basically, I think it is a mercury switch......just disconnecting it, eliminates it.....
The yellow wire should have 12 volts, I think with the headlight switch in the headlight or park position....the black wire should be a good ground....
Remember on this vehicle, it could take up to 10 minutes for all modules to go to sleep when doing a draw test, correctly.....

With Buicks, the headlight and/or park light switch must be on as I recall.....

My '95 LeSabre was that way, but Riviera is a different body. The schematic would show that - Usually.
