Supposed PCM Problem

This has been going on for a while, but now that my inspections coming due I need to figure out my course of action...
01 Eclipse GS, now with ~95,000 miles on it.
A few months ago my check engine light came on, I took it to the dealer, and the code was po446, or my vent solonoid, which I had replaced for $200 some odd.
Driving it a few days later, the check engine light came back on, and they now say it is my PCM, which costs $1850. This was several months ago. I've been driving the car fine, no problems, other then the check engine light on. No noticeable change in MPGs, or anything really. But I want to know what you think is best to do.
Should I just scrap the car and get a new one? or is this something that can be easily fixed for a lot cheaper in my driveway? And if so, how would I go about finding and replacing the PCM?
