Value of new motor

I bought a 2001 Dakota Club Cab 2wd last month. (May 2011)
The previous owner had a 3.9 V6 Factory re-manufactured motor installed in May of 2010.
It has about 11,000 miles on it now.
My question is, how much of a value does that add if I were to sell it?
KBB does not have a option for this. It will only accept 143,000 miles.
Thanks,
Free Bird

hello freebird, i hate to see you sell this truck. my dakota had a drop in fuel mileage after i bought tires of a different size [255/65/16 to265/70/16],also a drop in power! my truck has been troublefree since i bougt it new in 2003. to answer your question it depends on the buyer but i would think anyone would pay more to get a reman. motor.

jamesslcx,
Thanks for the info. The first post I made in a different part of AF I said I got 12.5mpg. Since then I've filled up twice and averaged 14.4mpg. Undoubtedly I must have entered the wrong amount in the first tank. I'm going to buy new tires [265/70/16 to 255/65/16] before I make a decision to sell or not.
Thanks again,
Free Bird

Do you have the paperwork to prove it's a new motor? Most people won't just take your word for it.

The previous owner gave me a copy of the receipt from the garage who did the exchange on it. Off the top of my head it was $2195.00 for the motor and close to $1100 for the Labor. It says it comes with a 3 Year 36,000 Mile Warranty. A week or so after I bought it I got to thinking if it was transferable.(should have known before I bought it, my mistake) I contacted the previous owner and he talked to the local garage and they said it was not transferable. Anyway, that's all I know so far about the warranty. :dunno:

I'm going to put the smaller tires on and see what happens. My wife and I just became empty nesters and we wanted this truck for weekend get-a-ways and tailgating at College games. (Auburn). I will give an update when I get the new tires.
Thanks again,
