Hi,
my friend have an 92 Firebird with 3.1L V6 engine.
He drove to sport studio and then the car didnt start anymore.
After testing we found that there is no spark to plugs.
We changed the ignition coil but no spark again.
Is there another common problem what we can check?
Thx.

With dis ignition, if no spark at the plugs and no injector pulse, check the crank sensor.
If you have a distributor, engine cranking, use a testlite on negative side of coil, does it pulse?

Hi,
today we looking for crank position sensor but I didnt found any. But we clean the distributor cap and module an use some WD40 and now we get spark, the engine rotates but is not starting.
Any other ideas?

yellow:( What did I need new?
- Distributor Cap
- Distributor Rotor
- Ignition Pickup
But what is the name for the coil inside and the thing with the pins to the cap...?

ignition control module is probably the culprit.

if the tach doesn't move while cranking, the ICM is definitely bad.
