95 APV 3.1 paint in my trans

My 95 APV 3.1 has over 220,000 miles on it. A few months ago I decided to change the trans fluid since it looked ancient.

I knew there was risk, as the old fluid might have the grit needed for smooth operation, but I want the APV to go another 100,000+ (and maybe it would on the old fluid, I don't know).

There was no magnet in the pan. I asked my dad to take me to Lowes to get one. He didn't feel like it. He gave me a refrigerator magnet and said "here use this". I was too pissed to think about it, so I stuck it in. While driving home I realized the refrigerator magnet was painted (all yellow), and transmission fluid gets hot.

If the paint does melt off, do you think the filter will catch it? Could it accumulate in narrow passages of the control body? Or could it react chemically with the trans fluid?

The transmission exhibits the same stellar performance as before, except possibly in one rare circumstance: While turning with medium-heavy braking, and stepping on the gas again while still turning, and going just the right speed, it seems to slip a little. It's hard to recreate the problem as the conditions have to be just right, but could this be related to the paint? Maybe paint being in the control body or something?
