Hi guys,
I have a weird experience with my 1998 Lumina 3.1
I am using Bosch Platinum+2 Spark Plug (http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_Platinum+2-Spark-Plug-Bosch_11430015-P_960_R%7CGRPTUNEAMS_823664127___) and I had sometimes problems with misfiring and engine stottering. It took me a while till I found out why. I filled my car two times with Chevron, added the first time a fuel system cleaner and did not had any misfire. Two days ago I filled it with cheap gas from Hess and it started again. Misfiring and stottering. Can it be that the Bosch spark plugs don't like cheap gas?

I try to use oem spark plugs. AC 41-940, gap .060
I have heard of injector cleaner in the gas tank causing deposts to come loose, then effecting injectors. I live in a small community, not alot of choice as far as brand of gas. I've never had any problems with gas brand, close to fifty years of driving.

I did not had any problems with the injector cleaner. But before I had and now with the cheap gas. Maybe the problem are the spark plugs?

I HAD those plugs in my lumina last year... they suck. I'd change them and see what happens. I use the napa plugs or if I can find the Acdelco I use those

In the shop I TRIED to talk people out of putting Bosch plats in their car...most wouldn't listen. I have known since way back when they were first sold that they are notorious for causing jittery idle and poor cold performance...
But do they listen? NOOOOoooo.
And do they pay twice to have me take them back out and put the correct AC/Delco (or whatever was OEM for thier car) plugs in so it would run right? Yup.

Yes I know. I thought I am doing something good for my car. :crying:
