'86 Camaro 305 to a 350 Engine Swap

I have a 1986 Camaro IROC Z-28 with the stock 305 TPI motor in it. I bought this car about a year ago and I was told that the engine was manufactured about 30k miles ago and I have put maybe 6k or so on it. So it's not a bad engine, but I have a 1991 Chevy Silverado 1500 sitting in my yard. It has the EFI 350 in it. This engine needs a little TLC before I can do anything to it, nothing big just some minor gaskets ect or whatever. But, I want to swap these motors. The truck is a farm truck so if possible I would wanna put the 305 in there so we can still use the truck if possible.

Since this was really long I will shorten it up. 1986 Camaro IROC Z-28 TPI 305 and a 1991 Chevy Silverado 1500 EFI 350 Swap.

Can you give me a more detailed explanation of what I would need to do to make this work and if at all possible price ranges on re manufacturing the 350 or putting some performance parts in it. I am not looking for huge power from the 350 at this point because I am about to go off to college and money will not be endless, but I would like to have some fun with this car. I can give more information on the cars like VINs or anything just ask. Any opinions comments or questions would be great and your help will be greatly appreciated!

Don't bother. This swap will be lots of work and you will get very little or no benefit.

Your 305 has the excellent (for the '80's) TPI induction system. This 305 produces more peak power than the throttle-body '91 350, because of a freer-flowing intake and exhaust, and a better camshaft.

A much better idea would be to look at some easy exhaust and intake mods for the 305. There are some nice aftermaket parts that are affordable and will give you a modest power boost. :)

It already has a catback system from flopro, but what do you think about taking that catalytic converter out? And like what kind of intake mods can I get for the TPI?

Nothing to be gained by removing the cat and puking unburt fuel, no I'm not a tree hugger, but I'd like my kids, kids to breathe outdoors without the use of an oxygen tank.

A real performance gainer is a set of freerer flowing exhaust maifolds. I am was VERY happy with Edlebrock's TES headers.
