98 Lumina LS w/ radio issues

I own a 98 Lumina LS which just this past night decided to not let the radio work. I was driving along and heard a small pop then all four speakers stopped playing music. The radio turns on and off, and the clock shows fine, but I can't get any sound. I tried turning it off then back on to see if it was some sort of temporary problem, because I know that my turn signals temporarily stop working now and then for some reason, but it was still the same. I think it's highly unlikely that all four speakers blew out at the same exact time, is there anything that might possibly be causing this? Also, when my mom owned it they had to fix something with the break lights and accidentally rewired the alarm sound, so that the alarm doesn't go off now when the doors lock and such. I'm not sure if that's related or not. I'm completely inexperienced with car issues except checking my tires and oil and such.

if the car has the premium sound system in it theres a possibility that the fuse for the amplifier blew or went bad. on most premium systems the radio and the amplifier that powers the speakers are seperate and if the amp goes or blows a fuse the radio will work fine but no sound. check your fuses first.
