91 passat plug wire diagram

I have replaced the wires on my car...no sweat. But, now it seems to be missing. I am sure that I replaced the correct ones the correct way. Did one at a time. I have pulled them and double checked to see that the spark plugs are connected correctly. Is there a diagram around that I can make sure that which one on the distributer goes to which one on the engine? I am a girl but part time mechanic as well.

Assuming you have the 2.0 16-valve, here are quotes from page 9-16 of the Bentley Passat manual for '90-'93:



..., the cylinder firing order is 1-3-4-2. Looking at the top of the distributor cap, the wires go to cylinders #1, #3, #4 and #2 in counterclockwise order.

Note: Cylinders are numbered 1 through 4. Cylider #1 is the one on the right (passenger side), closest to the drive belt cover.

Note: The rotor points to the #1 terminal on the cap when the #1 cylinder is near Top Dead Center (TDC).
