Yamaha YZR-M1 Laguna Seca - # 46 -V. Rossi (1:12 Tamiya)
Hello
I'm new at this Forum. I built motorcycle models (most Rossi) and VW models. I will post some pictures from these later on. At the moment I'm working on the M1 2005 now with the TopStudio Super Detail-up set. It's a nice set, but very difficult. You can see in the manual where the wires start, but you can't see where they go to... Tom |

The engine is looking really good. What paints did you use on the engine for the silver sections,it looks very realistic? Almost like real metal.

Re: Yamaha YZR-M1 Laguna Seca - # 46 -V. Rossi (1:12 Tamiya)
So...here is the rest of my M1 2005.
Now...where should I start? Firts I had another engine (from my other M1 2005) an I painted this with the brush and Tamiya color. But when I saw the result, I thaught it was not good enough, so I deceided to airbrush the engine. On the left side you can see the airbrushed engine and on the right side the engine that has been painted with the brush. Now on the right side the airbrushed engine... Then the exhaust... First I had to cut off the end of the damper. This peace was replaced by an aluminum peace out of the TopStudio set. Then the airbrushed exhaust with heat stains. This one still needs some more airbrushwork. And a dryfit of the engine/exhaust/frame. There are some other parts that have been done painting by the airbrush, but they aren't totaly ready yet, so I'll post some pics later. Till next time Tom |

Re: Yamaha YZR-M1 Laguna Seca - # 46 -V. Rossi (1:12 Tamiya)
Yesterday I spent 4 hours to put some carbon decals on different parts of the bike. I think it's pretty good...
So 4 peaces are done (accept the airbox, it's done for 1/2) and I still have to do 7-9 peaces I think so there will be much work left Tom |
