what defines a RICER??

so i was driving down the interstate today and i was just thinking about how gay some kids make there cars and how many cars i see w/ cheap mufflers, gay rims and stickers that dont even go along w/ there car example nismo stickers on hondas and what not. so my question to all of u guys is what do you think defines a ricer. is it the big wings? cheap mufflers, horrible rims, or just plain out bad taste? i want to hear some people go all out on there opinions of what a ricer is and what seperates the real from the fake i think this will be funny

a ricer generally owns a civic or something that is not generally known as a great performance car. (civic = good gas milage and that's about it) Also they do have horrible taste and put big wings on there cars and crappy mufflers. also, not all civics are ricers because there are some nice civics.
also, sometimes you see a neon that is all "riced out" and has stickers all over it and half are freakin nismo (like sidewayz said). is there one nismo performance part on the car??? I seriously doubt that anything nismo makes is gonna fit a dodge neon, yet with those gay stickers it makes you a ricer to me. or what i define as a ricer. hope that helps.
here's some other peoples definitions and some are really funny.

hmm i never new teh defintion of a ricer. i actually thought it was some one who built or drove japanese import cars. huh makes sense though. oh if you see me driving i can't help it my cat was clogged and it was cheaper for me to do an entire exhaust... so i can't help it all i got is an exhaust. but i got some money and am getting everything ready to swap. hmm, guess i learn something new every day.

its ok if you just have an exhaust, that doesn't make you a ricer, thats a genuine performance upgrade, unless its the size of a coffee can on a N/A car... then you might be a ricer lol.

Re: what defines a RICER??

domestic owners think we are all ricers but this is like our opinion of what makes a ricer like someone who has a $900 hks exhaust probablly isnt a ricer but a person w/ a advanced auto parts muffler is more then likely a ricer

well currently i have 2 1/2" cat back exhaust. my brother owns a performence shop so he gives me all parts at cost. it is only temporary until i swap. needed something to make the ka bit quicker because it was and is starting to die on me. plus my previous stock exhaust was clogged so i did it just to hold me over

i've once seen a mustang with GT-R emblems on it. i wouldnt call that ricey, i'd call it dumb as hell. heres a better one. i've once seen a civic with "custom" girlls in the fender, Z3 style. BTW. you can tell they used a blow torch to make the gills. go figure, and ofcourse it had to be sporting that all to famous APC windshield sticker. did i mention the chrome blue windshield wipers and holes in the trunk obviously left from a spoiler taken off. oh it gets better my friends. i've seen an old school Porsche (928 i believe, i kinda dont know porches that well) it was a dull grey, with a faded yellow windsheild banner "Porshe 928" in the ugliest damn font ever. faded yellow windshield wipers and the cream of the crop, faded yellow painted wheels. man that poor poor porsche...moving along, this next one has to rank on the hillbilly hall of fame. i'm sittin at a stop light right, and what do you know, a old beater toyota truck comes to stop right next to me. you'd never guess what this cat had in his interior....CHRISTMAS LIGHTS, yes cristmas lights. guess he was too poor to get some neon lights, but clever enough to hook up some xmas lights to his truck. i swear to god all these sightings are real, but like i said ealier, i dont know if these are exactly examples of rice, but it sure is dumb as hell.

funny thing happened this weekend: story time.
my brother and i were driving in his s14 240sx with a s15sr20det swap in it (mroe upgrades, but rather not list them) and we saw this group of people standing around their cars in a parking lot. there was a non turbo eclipse and some other cars. i look at my brother and said, "you should drive into the parking lot crack it sideways then leave thru the other exit." the entrance and exit were right beside each other so it was pretty much sideways 180 turn then blast sideways back out. anyway, the drivers jump in their car and follow us through our town. so we were thinking maybe they didn't like that and they might have been angry. but to our suprise they were in awe and wanted us to come back.
we said we would, but we never did. my brother's reasoning was he made his car known to them. great story i think i will tell my grand children that when i am much older than 19.

Re: what defines a RICER??

crackin a 180 to show of to some ricers, pretty funny . u should have offered them to race and when they asked what mods he had just be like oh i have headers and a AEP cold air intake or some shit like that so its sounds like what the rest of the world has then he should have fucking blow there doors off and they would have bowed to the 240 when they heard the loud PPPPPSSSSSHHHHHHHHH

yeah, it was incredibly fun. he blew off couple times in the sideway show but he did blow off when they were following us. He has a R/F BOV so it is loud. i have my own 240sx, but he can crack sideways better than i can, but i got some problems with mine and it doesn't like to handle. plus i need to learn a bit.
