1994 grand am tranny
after shifting from park to drive or reverse, tranny will sometimes not engage. shifting back to park and waiting a minute or two and then trying again usually works. once its in gear seems to be no problem while driving. would appreciate any suggestions as i am sure problem could get worse. thnx

Re: 1994 grand am tranny
Welcome to AF!
I would check the shifter cable under the hood and in the console(under the shifter), it could be loose. If everythings ok with that, it could be internal trans damage. Good Luck
