Saturn's future ?
I wonder what direction the Saturn brand will take now that Roger Penske has agreed to buy the Saturn Division of GM ?

With the new MPG requirements laid on by the feds for future model years, I would assume 90% of new cars will have to be hybrids. I think the passenger car mpg rqmnt is to be a 42 mpg average?
I believe that will involve an entirely new line of automobiles - far more complex electronically than todays cars. The other 10% will be things like the Smartcar and the quasi imports like the Geos. |

So Penske did agree to purchase? I haven't heard anything since the earlier reports saying he was interested. With the franchise, does/will he get the dealer network as well?
This raises a lot of questions, but at least we're on the right track now! |
