no power to the fuel tank
I have a 96 lumina APV with no power to the fuel tank. Everything was fine until we had a major electrical storm one night. The next morning I had no power to the tank. Any suggestions?

Re: no power to the fuel tank
...what is the condition now?..that is, >2 weeks later....
as fuel tank is trigged on through the ECM, a fault in the ECM...whatever the cause..would probably impair other components and functions, like spark....did you check for spark ? Other more benign - but annoying as well -- causes might be pump relay, corrosion in connectors, grounds.... Anyway, if problem solved, please inform the community of your findings. It can help others...

Re: no power to the fuel tank
does your car stalls if your idling or at low speed? does the car has hard starting? If you seen the schematic for the fuel system the fuel pump relay is also connected to the oil pump relay. So when the fuel relay gives up, your car will still work for amoount of time and then it stalls. GMC have this most quite a while now so check for fuel pressure if not then it's the relay
