Power Steering Fluid - No Start?

I read a post from user "albert cornejo" last week

After installing a new head, it wouldn't start, fuel pump would not engage, no spark and no voltage to the fuel relay cut-off switch.

It started and ran fine after topping off the power steering fluid. The wiring shematics show the power steering pressure swich providing ground to the computer.

---

My daughter's '95 Neon blew a head gasket a year and a half ago, "rusted through a bolt hole by cylinder #4". I helped put it back togeather but could never get it started. Towed it to my garage last weekend, and thanks to user "albert cornejo", I found the power steering fluid low. After topping it off, the car started and has been running reliably for 3 days after sitting for a year and a half. I verified the wiring diagram for the power steering pressure swich, what in the heck gets disabled if you are low on power steering fluid? I'd hate to see what gets turned off if you run out of windshield washer fluid!

You don't have a sensor, you would have a power steering pressure switch. It would be directly mounted to the steering gear on vehicles requiring it's usage.
