Bland New Focus
The Ford Focus has been around for 6 years now and its begining to age. So Ford are releasing a all-new Focus later in 2004. They recently launched the Focus Concept vehicle which previews the styling, it comes in a saloon bodystyle but theres something missing. The new Focus has none of the flair and excitement of the 1st Focus which caused a stir in the family car market, this is trying too hard to be a VW Golf. Fords recent products have been dull and lack character and its sad to see extend to the excellent Focus.

Re: Bland New Focus
it kinda looks like a volkswagon or audi. i guess i could get into that if they offered like a supercharged/turbo'd 2.3L.

Agreed
Its a VW Group Clone. Come on Ford what happened to that daring edge design. It seems to me as Ford go into a dull phase for about 10years then launch some exciting cars then another dull patch. This is the start of another dull phase, and their losing sales worldwide no wonder.

Re: Re: Bland New Focus
You guys can see the 2005 Focus on Ford's website...
http://www.fordusa.com It doesn't look anything like that picture(which looks like a low-grade photo chop to me) up top in my opinion:

The picture you've got is'nt the all-new Focus, the 2005 Focus is simply a restyled version to keep it looking fresh in America for another few years. My picture is a preview of the styling to be used on the all-new Ford Focus launched through-out Europe at the end of 2004. America should get this in sometime in the next two-years.
Although the current 2005 Focus and the Focus concept look very similar.

The photo you have looks like a reasonable effort of photo-shopping whereas the photo I have is a real car.

Re: Bland New Focus
I think the design that is shown at the top is for europe and will probably stay in europe. I don't think Ford would bring it over to the states. Just like their RS.
