Replacing clutch cable
I have a 93 Metro, does anyone have an idea if this is easy to replace?
It's so rusted in the engine bay that I can't adjust the clutch and it needs it bad. It looks like it would be a pain in the neck to disconnect it under the dash!

Re: Replacing clutch cable
I have a 95 and replaced the cable twice so far. Not hard at all. There's a swaged ball on the pedal end that fits into a slot on the upper end of the pedal. Did it by feel but not that hard. I had to remove the bracket on the transmission both times in order to get the adjusting nut started and then it went back on easy. Took about 10 minutes plus adjusting it to feel right.

Re: Replacing clutch cable
Jetenginemech.
I did the clutch on my 95 last year. You're right, it is a pain. Please start a new thread with your question. It's likely to get missed in this unrelated thread. Ideas on the top of my head are: Flywheel- Did you check it to see if it was burned out? Oil Leak- Is it possible that you have oil leaking into the clutch. Check the right side of the engine for leaks. Jai
