Radio problems/ Rt rear window won't move/ Lights dim when shifted in Reverse

Hi,

This is my first post. I have an 02 Pont Grand Prix GT 4dr with some electrical issues.

- The radio doesn't work 95% of the time. There is power going to it. If I hit display the time will appear but other than that it is blank. CD's load and eject always. When the radio is working the steering wheel controls don't work and the left rear speaker doesn't work. Also, the volume control is funny but I know how to fix that, just don't know if I want to.

- The right rear window quit working. Neither switch operates but all the other windows work fine. It comes on every once in a while, but I only notice it if I accidentally hit the button.

- This just started. When I switch from forward to reverse the car will lose power and all the lights dim. Then after a second or two everything comes back to normal.

The radio has a lamp behind the display that is going bad. The rear speaker could be bad or could be the output on radio is bad or again a wiring issue. Loosing power in the radio could be bad solder joints. The CD being constantly rejected sounds like the player is very dusty or the eject button is being seen as it is being pressed all the time. I don't have any answer for the steering wheel controls not working.

On the window I would check the wiring and see if the motor is getting voltage, if it is then I would say it is a bad motor. If no voltage, maybe a bad switch or wiring.

I would check your battery connections clean them with baking soda and warm water in a cup if they are dirty and re-tighten them. It might not help your problem but its free and good maintenance.
