Four days ago, my horn just stopped working. Around this area, a horn is a definite must on any car. I replaced the stock horn with an all-in-one airhorn unit about 5 years ago and figured the horn was probably kaputt so I bought a new horn. Hooked it up and nothing. Decided maybe my original wiring job needed redone due to corrosion, etc. so I redid the wiring. Nothing. Ok, so hopefully it's the horn relay in the fuse box. Luckily the local car parts place let me try a new one without buying it. Nope, that wasn't it either. Now I'm starting to stress because that's about the limit of my electrical troubleshooting. The parts guy said maybe there were bad contacts behind the pad on the steering wheel. I really didn't want to mess with that, especially since that's where the airbag is. So I got online and looked up how to remove that. Found some pretty simple instructions at this site:

Hoping the person knew what he was talking about it, I did it and it worked fine. Right away I saw that the wire was broken. It was in two pieces. Hooked up some terminal connectors to it and it worked. For about 2 beeps then nothing again. Took it all apart again and noticed the wire was also barely connected to the stock terminal on the wheel connection. Cut that apart and attached another terminal. And now it works just fine! Just thought I'd post this in case anyone else is having issues.
