Talking Optra Model

OK, Pretty sure I saw one of these on a recent trip to Caymen Islands.
Nothing more than a re-badged Cavalier if you ask me. Right hand drive and all that crap. Sounded like a supercharger weed whacker !

Re: Optra Model

According to fueleconomy.gov the car is a subcompact and has a 2.0 liter 4-cyinder engine. 5-speed or automatic. 4-door sedan, 4-door hatchback (Optra 5), and 4-door wagon.

This model has been sold in Canada since 2004. I think it's only getting EPA certification so it can be sold in certain areas of Canada that require certain emissions regulations. I don't think it will be sold in the US.

It is IDENTICAL to the Suzuki Reno/Forenza except for the grill and badging, and is built in Korea by Daewoo. It's basically the old Daewoo Nubira, slightly restyled. Just like the Suzuki Verona is like the old Daewoo Leganza. And the Chevrolet Aveo is basically an updated Daewoo Lanos.
