Rear Spolier
Other than an accessory, does the rear spoiler have a function or add to the driveability of the vehicle?

Re: Rear Spolier
Well, since I added mine, the wind flow has changed off the back of the vehicle, keeping the back window cleaner. Other than that I haven't seen anything.

Re: Rear Spolier
It's identical to the factory. I got it on ebay. Here's a link to the guy I got it from. He's got one on Ebay right now. I paid $175 including shipping. It was painted black and matches identical to the color of our truck. Here's the address.

I found mine on Ebay also, and I love mine. Install required drilling 4 holes in your sheet metal, and attaching 4 nuts and the wiring harness.
Mine is an OEM factory spoiler from a Toyota dealer on Ebay. |

Re: Rear Spolier
Does your new spoiler have a brake light in it?
And does it cover up the one on the vehicle? |

Re: Rear Spolier
Yes it does have a brake light, and it covers the old one. The wire harness included disconnects the old light and hooks up the new one so the old one does not light up anymore.

Re: Rear Spolier
Hi Plamar,
Is it easy to drill the 4 holes? Sound scary. What kind of drill tip did you use? Do you think that require a handy man to do it or anybody who can "hold" the drill can do? Thanks for your time and attention. Quote:

Re: Rear Spolier
I bought mine from ebay. I paid $79 plus $25 Shipping. It has the brake light and painted black and coated. It is identical to the factory one. I recommend a professional installation. it is not worth the hassle. $50 max labor will save you the risk. So, $155 total cost. It is still good.
