Stage 2 cams
I'm planning on getting Crower Stage 2 cams and when I do I just want to know what other upgrades I might have to get along with it.

Re: Stage 2 cams
New valve springs, retainers, valves, cam gears (you should tune the car after that)

So with all that and i/h/e in LS how much hp could you estimate? And also I'm not all too great at tuning either if someone could give me a site where I can get some help on that.

Re: Stage 2 cams
Well take it to a dyno and find out. Your going to have to anyways to tune your car after the cams/cam gears.

I heard that tha valve retainers and springs would be enough so the rest is not really needed, but just nice to have.

O I hear people just have valve springs and retainers along with the cams. So what would the difference be if I threw in the cam gears and valves?

Re: Stage 2 cams
you need the cam gears for tuning.
but stock valves are perfectly fine unless you want to get new ones for the hell of it. use the money for something else.

Well I dont even know if im going to go turbo anymore because of gas prices and other reliability things so i just aim to get my N/A LS to around 170whp because I want to hit low-mid 14s on 1/4 mile then i be happy. Also i want it to be very reliable. You guys think 170whp is enough to hit 14s?

all u need is crower springs and retainers. i have 403's in my car and i made 150 whp. i also have i/h/e and P30 pistons. tuned by me with uberdata. u dont need valves and cam gears r optional. i have cam gear but its set a 0,0 cuz whatever i change em too, i loose hp. so u dont really need cam gears
