I think this is what you are talking about..
http://www.jetchip.com/JET_Chips_Modules.asp

You simply plug it into your OBD2 port and make your adjustment through the programmer which connects to your cars computer.
How easy is that..

I have never used one because all my cars are older but if I had a late model camaro like yours, it would on my list of things to buy.
I have seen them being used on various TV shows and they seem fairly straight forward to use..

Re: hot rod camaro

yeah that looks similar, to wat they used. i dont have a late model camaro im thinking of gettin one but im used to carbs and distributors what exactly do you adjust to make more power the programmer you posted says you can adjust
  • Calculated Load Value
  • Engine Coolant Temperature
  • Short Term Fuel Trim 1 & 2
  • Long Term Fuel Trim 1 & 2
  • Manifold Pressure (MAP)
  • Engine RPM
  • Vehicle Speed
  • Spark Advance
  • Inlet Air Temperature
  • Throttle Position
  • 02 Sensors Bank 1 & 2
  • Mass Air Flow Value

if i buy a late model camaro it wood be my street strip vehicle and i wood slowly mod it is ther any advantages to the tuner versus performance chips?
