Buick GN 87 alternator
I have plan to repair the alternator, which I have in the box in our store. It is the genuine GN 87 120 A alternator CS 144 unit. The broblem is, that I have lost the two spacers/collars, which belongs to the front bearings, before the bearing and after it.
So, where I can find them? If there is not the source to purchase them somewhere, so what is the best choice for an new alternator from RockAuto? Thanks in forward! |

Re: Buick GN 87 alternator
Thanks for your answer!
Yes, I have shops quite near, about 30 kilometers. I will ask them. But anyway, I could guess, that they havenīt any parts for AC Delco cs 144 alternator. |

Re: Buick GN 87 alternator
If its just spacers/collars then anyone that deals with electric motors or the like should be able to source what you need.

Re: Buick GN 87 alternator
hanks for your advice! Yes , it is the spacers/collars in question. RockAuto has the rectifier in to this alternator and I have the feeling that the old regulator is ok.

Re: Buick GN 87 alternator
IIRC, the front end is just a 203 bearing, and any motor shop should have OR/IR spacers, Belleville and wavy spring washers for those, or they shouldn't even be in business. If there isn't anyone nearby, you could search the web: https://catalog.lesjoforsab.com/ww-39-5x33x0-43x3

Re: Buick GN 87 alternator
Hi all,
I will ask once again, what is the reasonable good choice for Buick GN 120 A alternator? What brand, Ac Delco or what and from where? Tanks forward!! |

Re: Buick GN 87 alternator
Hi all,
I found the original collars/spacers in my own store, when going trough the all boxes again, where I have GN parts! I found also the brand new rectifier bridge for the alternator in question. Thanks for the help for all! |
