1995 toyota tacoma

I have a 1995 Toyota Tacoma with a manual transmission that will not go into gear. How can you tell if it is the clutch or the slave cylinder that is bad?

If the slave cylinder were bad, you'd be able to feel it through the pedal. It would probably go to the floor with little or no resistance. If the clutch itself were bad it would start making some bad noises when you push the pedal in with the engine running, or the pedal might get stuck.

Get under it and have somebody press the clutch see if the clutch fork is moving. If no try bleeding the system make sure you are getting pressure to the slave cylinder. If no pressure you have a bad clutch master cylinder.
