I know this isn't much help but some cars have problems and others doesn't. How many miles does it have? Check to see if this car has had anything replaced such as the fuel pump. I know that has been a issue. Get a carfax report on it as well and take it to a tech to get it checked out as well and make sure all recalls were done if there were any for that ca r.

If you can get the vin number for a small fee (or if you know anyone with an accout) you can get a carfax report at carfax.com. I will show how many lein holders there has been, if it is salvaged, etc.
Here is a site I found that you can scan through for recalls accourding to make, model and year. This is one for your 2001 zx3 http://www.alldata.com/TSB/19/01195379.html |

I would assume that it would be things brought to their attention but not deemed to be recallable if that is a word.
I wouldn't say every zx3 has that problem. I would say its wishy washy. You may get one that has problems you may not. I know some people you have a 2000 or 2001 that has constant problems. I also know others who has the same years and models but have not had any issues what-so-ever. Just depends if you got one from the lucky batch Also if you want to find out more information there are a lot of people that are like 20x more informed of the focus than me. Stop by www.focaljet.com and give us a holler. |

Hey I just found out the VIN # its 3FAHP31361R229251(can u check the recall thing for me?) and the owner told me he done one recall about the wheel bearing replace.
Also do you think 9000USD for a 2001ZX3 with 20000miles a good deal? The car is in very good shape. THANKS so much |

Well from searching on www.ford.com I didn't find any recalls for your vin#. Additional research has shown anywear from 8k-9k fort he zx3. I priced this on Edmunds.com and cars.com by using the black book value. Maybe since you now the specs you can get an acurate price. Don't go off my word alone. Check around and see what others are asking for their 2001 zx3 in the same condition to decide whether you want to purchase it. Have no second thoughts about it when you do. I wish you well with whatever you decide.
Let me know what you do man! |

Thanks man....I am glad that it doesnt have any recall on it. Too bad the price is FIRM but i think if the car is good, its well worth it.

Personally, if you can find something else you can afford and like for a similar price, I would steer you towards that.
My ZX3 is like a personal toothache, I never know when or where it is going to strike, in fact, I plan on replacing it in the next couple of months.
