Depends, I assume you mean Pontiac Transport? What years on both? Radio sizes (Din and 1/2, Double Din)

Re: YUKON audio for CTS?
The 99 Transport/ Venture should be Din and a half, just a little too small for the double din Yukon or the Pioneer. Pioneer did make a Din and a half (deh-p47 or the deh-p77 IIRC)..... Good luck.

Re: YUKON audio for CTS?
My 2003 Venture is double-DIN. I didn't look up your vehicle, but the easiest thing for you to do would be to create an account at Crutchfield and select "Outfit My Car": http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Car/o...car/MyCar.aspx
You enter your vehicle specifics and it returns a full list of sizes that you can use both with and without adapter trim plate accessories, any applicable harnesses along with head unit specifications, speaker specifications and more. Even if you don't buy from CF, you can still use their database of information. So grab the info you need, then select the radio of your choice from wherever you decide to buy. In any case, methinks this is more a "Car Audio" topic than a vehicle specific topic, so moving accordingly. Look for Paul to assist in detail, should you need more help. |

I suppose you can install pretty much any radio in any vehicle ... getting the wiring right and making it look godo is another matter

Re: YUKON audio for CTS?
As long as there's enough physical room/space for the radio, it can be installed, but will require fabrication (enlarging the hole and expanding the trim plate) that most people won't want to get involved with.
If you are dead set on having a DD radio in a smaller hole, I would suggest skipping CF altogether and seeing a local install shop. They fabricate (well, the good ones anyway) and have the tools and skill to make it look as close to perfect as possible. Just keep in mind the additional expense. But before anything, remove the trim plate and see for yourself how much room you have to play with. Sometimes, you'll actually have a DD back there, though the additional space is being used by a pocket or other trim plate accessory. See what you have to work with then decide what the best course of action is for you. Just keep in mind, custom fabrication can run big bucks depending upon what's involved. If you want, pull the radio and take a picture and post it here. |

Re: YUKON audio for CTS?
Yeah, meant to tell you I had a 99 and it was 1.5 din, same as my 97 I have now..... The chrysler will fit as it is also 1.5 din. Get an aftermarket vehicle harness from somewhere for the radio, and then get a harness to plug into your vehicle harness (stock radio ends - this one will be available almost anywhere.) IIRC the Chrysler radio will have a standard antenna lead, the GM antenna plug in your van is the mini, you will need an adapter for that also.
