Help:Can anyone identify this classic hardtop?
Hey guys so I recently bought this hard top for my 356 speedster replica and was lied to. I didn't think it would fit when I picked it up and almost knew it was for a different car, but figured it was worth the money anyway. So here are some pictures and the top is pretty much in mint condition. The only etching on the glass is: GLACE SECURIT AS2. I just cannot for the life of me figure out what vehicle this top is to. Thanks in advanced!!!

Re: Help:Can anyone identify this classic hardtop?
D,
sorry i did not see this sooner.. did you find the missing car to your hardtop? boy those latches sure look like my old girlfriend's super beetle cabrio; but i think they were only ragtops, and kharman's did not have the window integrated; i think.. besides, with the scripting 'glace' is french for glaze/ice/opaque (i'm not sure, the girlfriend is no longer here to give me a proper translation); so french car? probably not citroen, i think their rear windows on tops were circular or oval?? except their 4dr, and that would be too long, since you holding it up in the pic looks more like alpine sunbeam or MG size? so, not a caravelle, maybe a peugeot 504? but quite possibly it belongs to a Floride; mid 60s-70s?? hope this helps.. |
