Better offer on trade in VS selling myself
Would you expect a dealer to offer a better price on my used car if I'm ALSO buying a new car? I can't imagine that it would be that much better of a deal. Maybe 2% savings.
I'm also trying to get a general idea how much I will save as a private seller versus doing a trade-in on my old Civic, which is valued in the $10,000 range. Seems to me, I can expect save about $2,000 or more (20%) by selling it myself. One more question: One dealer told me that there are NO more 2023 Civics available because of unique market conditions. Is this to be believed? And, if true, would dealers still be incentivized to drop prices on 2024s at the end of the year? Last edited by Honda_Civic7; 11-05-2023 at 03:53 PM. |
