Lightbulb 98 Blazer 4x4 back up lights not working

Hi,

The back up lights of my Blazer are not turning on at all.

I already checked the light bulb and all the fuses and they are ok. Any advice?

My blazer is 98 4x4. manual transmission. 4.3liters

Thanks in advance for the help

Re: 98 Blazer 4x4 back up lights not working

Go to the underhood fuse box.
Check fuse no 25 for 12 volts both sides key on.
It feeds power to the backup light switch on transmission.
Then put it in reverse key and check for backup light switch switching 12 volt power to fuse 11 and 12 check for power to and out both sides of fuses.
If no 12 volts there your switch or wiring is bad or even switch unpluged.
Make sure switch is pluged up.
It is on top side of a standard transmission.
If power to and out of fuse 12 for backup lights then check at rear backup light 12 volts on light gren wire.
If 12 volts on it and no back up light your bulb or socket is bad or no ground.
Post back what you find.
