Fujimi Koenig Specials Porsche 911 Turbo

This is Fujimi’s model of the Koenig Specials Porsche 911 Biturbo (kit #12004 / RS-04). I built this completely out-of-the-box, using Tamiya’s TS-95 Pure Metallic Red over Tamiya Pink primer and adding home-made number plates. Though simple, or maybe due to this, the build was easy and pleasurable. Something a little different on the shelf and soon to be joined by the Koenig Specials Porsche 928 S4. For some reason a certain song by Sir Mix-a-Lot keeps coming to mind….

Grant.

Great looking model of a wild car. Did they also make the taillights for these in house at Koenig? I can't recognize them, and I read a couple articles that don't tell me either. Great work, the paint is excellent!

The tail of the Koenig-Specials Porsche 911 Turbo: the tail lights were taken from an Audi 200.

Thanks for the positive responses.

@Stratos75 - I did not know about the tail lights. To be honest, this is the first Porsche 911 I have built, though I have a few more in the stash, so I did not realise they were different.

Amongst Porsche tuners I find this one b***-ugly, but nevertheless would love to get my hands on such a kit.
Yours is looking very nicely done! Did you experience any fitting problems?
I can recall when I build the Fujimi Veilside Turbo, the fitting of the resin pars were terrible.

And the Gemballa Avalanche from Testors/Revell to complete the collection

No there were no problems at all. The body was all molded in one-piece, so it was literally just paint and assemble. Very simple kit that fit together perfectly.

Yes, these Fujimi Koenig models are quite something. A pitty they are now asking ridiculous money as I would like the get one of the Ferrari and Mercedes kits.
