did some front end work...problems
00 expy 4x4 ed bauer with 92k. Changed bad upper ball. .joints and inner and outer tie rodsmyself. Had the front end aligned at tire shop with 292k new ft tires. My problem is i here something vibrating on acceleration. Seems to have got worse. Everything looks fine. What is the spring looking unit attatched to drivers side control arm?seems to be rubbing the steering shaft now. Ripped the boot. Im wondering if thats my problem? Im going to double check that everything was tourqued right at tire shop after alignment tomorrow. I may take it into local firestone shop to have them diagnose. Also forgot to mention feels like extra play in steering wheel that wasnt there before. Almost like its delaying the steering. Very odd and scares me a lil. Any suggestions? Im broke after all this workeven thoug i did most myself. Im an ok mechanic but not experienced with front end work ior should alsoi mention new wheelft bearings about 3000 miles ago. All cheaperthis chinese parts due to budget

Re: did some front end work...problems
Upon further investigation and a little home work. The tire shop messed up my height sensor. I had switched to a spring system awhile ago so i dont need it anyways. They had the bracket pushed right up against the steering shaft. Its rubbing it pretty hard, so much it ripped the boot. Not sure if thats my only problem but it seems logical that it would vibrat and make the steering feel odd. Gonna jack it up and pull it out in the morning and go from there.
