I think I read somewhere the 92's got the DOHC heads , versus the SOHC 91's. Maybe somebody can clear that up for me. Also maybe that the early 5-spd tranny is not as good as the later 6-spd , from a reliability standpoint. I think the 94-ups were 320 Hp , but again , not for sure on that. I'm in DSM's also , so this is learning a whole 'nother car for me. I'm learning all I can because I wanna do the 3000GT engine swap into my Galant.

The body style changed in 94 as well as getting the 6-speed and extra 2psi stock for the added 20 hp over the 91-93 models. Other then that, they stayed the same.

91-99 were all DOHC Twin Turbo, AWD, AWS(i think, 91-95 for sure)
91-92 have cast crank shafts that werent too strong and 18 spline transfer cases 93+ have forged crank shafts and 25 spine transfer cases 91-93 have 5sp manuals that are better geared for the 1/4 mile if mild upgrades are done. 94-99 have 6sp manuals that are farily well geared for an 11's car. All years have weak syncro's in the tranys 94+ Got bigger brakes, slightly different exhaust, 2psi more boost and a revamped look. 91-96 have active aero In 99 they changed the lifters in the engine to a bigger oil boar and got rid of the lifter tick problem as well and changing the front bumper, headlights, and the rear spoiler. Im sure I missed some little stuff |

The VR-4 was never SOHC
The SOHC models where as follows 91-96 Dodge Stealth base 91-96 Dodge Stealth ES (DOHC was an option) 97-99 Mitsubishi 3000GT base |
