transport accessories & roof racks

Can't say I've seen much in the way of accessories for transports. Most I see are stock & i've added front door window flares(? -forward edge from the front & bottom of the window around the top, ..got 'em at the dealer) & haven't found a front hood protector yet, not that i've looked much.

So..saw a lumina with a small front (fresh air type but prob a fake) hood scoop, an outside spare tire mounted on the left rear hatch area & on the right of that was a ladder that appeared custom made as it was missing a step in the window area prob for visibility.

Also had what appeared to be chrome trimming around the rear light assemblies.

Didn't notice when I purchased that I didn't have a roof rack. Is it straightforward to add one? Figure maybe some factory reinforcements might have been involved.
