Bough a 2001 jetta with 160,000 miles. It ran fine when I bought it but since then it has gone down hill. First it was the check engine light, then I have intermittently had the red oil pressure warning light and chime come on several times and then I started noticing small puddles of coolant under the car.
Took it to the local shop and they told me that along with several crank positioning sensor codes, it is losing boost to the turbo and they believe it is sucking coolant in through the intake. This is a small shop that mostly works on domestics and told me they didnt even know where to begin and recommended taking it somewhere else. I have noticed people saying things like this on this forum and others. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?
