Audi A4 DTM 2009 Timo Scheider
Hi all
This is my first build after 5 year break. Hope you like it  Built almost OOB with only few modifications. |

Holt's automotive matt black paint in a spraycan for most of the car and Tamiya's spraycan for the wheels and the roof.

The whole kit was not bad. Main issues were sink marks and loads of cleaning up. I have swapped the kit wheels (awful two piece wheels with brake discs sandwiched between the two halves) for Merc DTM ones I had from my previous build (my 2yrs old son put the Merc body when I was working on it in an oven and turned on the heat- plastic+oven= plastic modern sculpture
and put some mesh in place of the molded-in front grill.There were no fitment issues,however I will mention the instruction which uses colour chart with letters representing a colour. The problem was that in a couple of cases the same letter represented two different colours which left my head scratching. All in all this was a very nice kit with lots of details and if you put some heart into it you will get great results. |
