hurry (92-95 civic knowledge)

i need to know how to take off the big peice of plastic that goes over the steering wheel and over the rradio in a 92-95 civic. i bought a stereo finally and i dont want to brake the stupid thing

I think you mean the dashboard, and you probably don't need to take it off to install the stereo. You can probably just pull out the old stereo and put in the new one. You should have got some instructinos with the new stereo on how to remove it, if so then just try to use those on the old stereo. If you are gonna wire in a new amp and stuff, then yeah you will have to take that all off, sorry can't help there.

Taking off the center console (the peice with the cigarette lighter and ashtray are) will help alot ...

yea there should be screws on the side of the center console, u can figure it out

Yeah dude just take off the lower panel that hold the cigarette lighter (4 screws) and it just snaps out (sounds bad but...) then you can pull out the radio easily, try not to take that big black bezel thing out, it always breaks, I broke mine and it pissed me off but, I sold the car so it isnt my problem anymore!

yea, four screws to remove the lower console, and two 8mm bolts hold in the back underside of the radio.

however if you do wish to remove that piece with out breaking it, here is what you do, go get a bunch of short phillips screwdrivers and a skewdriver, dislocate your wrist as you will be bending the hell out of it, and reach behind the dash to pull out the twelve or so screws that hold it in. good luck.
