Unhappy Civic 1.5 to 1.6dohc vtec

I have a 1992 Honda Civic 1.5 16v Lsi, I have had it for about a month now, and its quick enough will hit 80mph in 3rd at 6500rpm, but I really want to have a quicker engine, I have been looking about for a replacement, and that isnt too hard to find, I found a 1.6 16v dohc from a 93 vti, but my question is, can I get away with just removing the old engine, and put the new one back in, and off I go. Or is there more to meets the eye.

I have seen that plently of other ppl have done it.

If anyone is out there can help me, please let me know.

Re: Civic 1.5 to 1.6dohc vtec

all you should need is the motor, tranny, wiring harness and ecu, the motor should bolt up and plug the ecu in then all you need to do is run the wires for vtec. its real easy
