Changing thermostat on 98 Intrepid w/3.2L

Hey all,

Trying to save a few bucks trying this on my own, but don't want to get in over my head...

i have found step by step instructions for the 2.7 liter, but not the 3.2...anyone out there have good instructions to save me from myself!?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Changing thermostat on 98 Intrepid w/3.2L

Disconnect negative battery cable from remote jumper terminal.
Drain cooling system.
Raise vehicle on hoist.
Disconnect electrical connectors from engine oil and power steering pressure switches.
Disconnect radiator and heater hoses from thermostat housing.
Remove thermostat housing bolts.
Remove housing-- thermostat--gasket.

Clean gasket sealing surfaces. Install new thermostat with the bleed valve located at the 12 oclock position.

Install is just the reverse of removal. This info came from my database, if you see a better way, certainly use your own judgement.
