Spring time Tune..

Well, it's that time again.. Birds are out, grass is green, and time to turn up the boost. I dicited to get off my lazzy ass yesterday and stick the laptop upto the ECU and re-tune my car from the 15psi I set back in October.

I ran into a couple of issues with my LTFT and Airflow monitering, but for the most part I've figured it all out. I still need to post a few questions on the Dsmlink forums about the relationships of boostest/Map/GM MAF over 5500RPM. I'm pretty sure is related to a boost leak, but I just wanted to verify.

Good news is I have the Evo316g somewhat stable @ 22.5psi on pumpgas & 50/50 H20/Meth. I'm beginning to think my M7 injector is to small, and I might have an exhaust leak. I'm having trouble getting my Front 02/PLX to match up without skewing the airflow out of reliable meetering ranges. I also had a chance to use NLTS for the first time this year running the car from 1st-3rd, GAWD that's pure sex!! I think I missed that more then anything!

Hopefully I can get a leakdown test accomplished before to long to double check for leaks in the pipeing. I want to get a good base line tune on my stock cams before installing these BC272's so I can make a comparison graph in Excel with the relation ship to airflow/RPM/Boost.

Scott

Re: Spring time Tune..

Awesome man...keep us updated...I am still trying to get as much info about tuning as possible...that stuff is very interesting once you start to understand it...I am really considering taking that EFI101 course...I think it would be very beneficial to not only me but all of my friends that need tunes...and I cant forget all my buddies here at AF...
