Taking out windows

Does anyone know how to take out the windows and the whole control arm assembly from inside the doors? I've got all my power window conversion stuff ready and was just out there for 2 hours with no progress whatsoever. I need to pull the window, then the old crank assembly. Does the door split it 2 pieces or anything?

I'm pissed

Hmmm... The door doesn't split at all dude. All you can do is pull off your door panel and the plastic covering under that and try your best at it. There are a few holes big enough to get your hands in, but I'm not sure how your gonna get the old assembly out of there. If you can get everything loose, you should be able to slide the whole window and assembly out of the top, but it'll be damn tight...

Good luck.

Ya I have no idea on how I'm going to do this. If I get the window out I could be a little more rough with it. I got the little pieces that stop the window from coming too far up, but it's a mad pain in the ass and I was super pissed because my buddy ended up not making it over. I'm paranoid when working with glass.

I'm going to try again when it gets a little warmer. I have a new drivers switch coming in (this one was busted) and I'm thinking I may buy some power door lock actuators. But I haven't decided that yet since the wiring is advance.

Re: Taking out windows

Haven't done anything on this situation yet since the first time. I got the new driver's side switch but still haven't decided on whether I should go for power locks also.
